NOTE: We are continuing in-person meetings of the Greater City Aquarium Society. If you are planning to attend on October 6, here’s what to expect:
Parking: Use Parking Garden Entrance at 42-80 Crommelin Street, Flushing, NY 11355.
On entering the building, Botanical Gardens personnel will screen you for proof of vaccination (Original Vaccination Card, NYC Covid Safe App, NYS Excelsior Pass, or Other Official Vaccine Record). Photos of your vaccination cards will not do. Must be the card itself or one of the choices listed above. You will be required to wear a mask indoors at all times (covering mouth AND nose.) Snacks will be available as usual, but since you’ll need to remove your mask to eat, you will need to step outside to do so and come back in wearing your mask when done. These measures are a requirement of the Queens Botanical Garden which is run by the City, and to protect our members, ensuring that we can continue to meet in person going forward until we are notified otherwise.
This will be a full meeting. Our speaker, via Zoom, will be Dr. Ted Coletti, speaking on Summer Tubbing. Modern Aquarium issues will be stacked on a table. Please take your copy and check your name on the attendance sheet beside the issues. During the auction, anyone able to volunteer as “runners” would be greatly appreciated to keep people from crowding around Jules to pay for auction purchases.
Thank you for your cooperation!
You must be a paid member to receive our award-winning magazine, ‘Modern Aquarium,’ to participate in our monthly Bowl Show (except for August and December), receive a Door Prize, buy a raffle ticket, or receive a monthly postcard meeting reminder. To renew your membership, please bring exact change or check for $30.00 during our aquarium society meetings at the Queens Botanical Garden.
